With 30 years of experience across HR, training, and business development, Claire has built a career dedicated to helping organisations grow through people development.


Raised in Cornwall, Claire’s journey began in the hospitality industry, working in local pubs and holiday parks. These early roles instilled in her a deep understanding of the importance of customer service, team cohesion, and practical problem-solving—skills that laid the foundation for her future in HR and training.

After joining Newquay for Excellence, Claire discovered her passion for empowering individuals to reach their full potential. She transitioned into training and development, where she quickly became known for her ability to inspire growth and facilitate change. From her role at Mercury Scales, where she developed HR and training solutions, Claire took the next step in her career by founding Saffron Academy. There, she now specialises in providing independent HR services and tailored training for businesses across Cornwall.

At Saffron Academy, Claire’s role is a dynamic blend of hands-on HR consultancy, team facilitation, and training delivery. She works closely with businesses to ensure they have the right people, processes, and systems in place to thrive, offering bespoke solutions that make a real impact on performance and productivity.
